APHA 2018 Annual Meeting and Expo

This year at APHA, BMSG is presenting research on a range of topics, from violence prevention to the child welfare system to racial equity in the news. The theme of this year’s conference, “Creating the Healthiest Nation: Health Equity Now,” reflects a value that is deeply rooted in the work we do here at BMSG. Whether we are looking at media narratives around gun violence so that advocates can be better equipped to communicate about prevention, or addressing gender inequity in health care through the lens of nurses’ representation in the news, the research we’re sharing at APHA all comes back to equity.
