UCSF Bixby – Communicating about reproductive health

BMSG trainer and strategic communication specialist Rosaura Wardsworth facilitated a virtual training for Bixby Media and Advocacy Fellows. This training was the first in a two-part series. Participants learned how strategy is tied to media and communications work, how to recognize frames that support structural and policy change, how to incorporate racial and health equity into organizing and communication plans, and how to articulate values and speak plainly when communicating about reproductive health. The four fellows pictured here showed great enthusiasm and passion when articulating their messages and led with value focused language.
