Preparing for interviews with the media

In this two-part online training for the Law Foundation of Silicon Valley, BMSG provided a brief introduction to put media interviews in the context of an overall media and policy strategy. BMSG also offered tools — including message development recommendations — to help participants prepare for media interviews, gave an overview of working with reporters, and led the group through a series of hands-on exercises to practice interviewing skills and receive feedback. The first session, held Sept. 30, focused primarily on housing, while the second, held Oct. 14, related to child and youth mental health.
