Junk food marketing to children: The current reality and what we can do about it

In a Grand Rounds lecture for the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health & Health Policy, BMSG Director Lori Dorfman discussed the scourge of food marketing that is targeted at children of color, with significant implications for health. Dorfman explained common tactics for such marketing, such as the use of digital influencers, underscored how this contributes to disparate health outcomes in communities of color, and noted ways we can take action.
