IPEN – Spokesperson Training

The goal of this training was to equip IPEN members with additional skills to become more effective spokespeople for toxin-free environments. Using simple language to explain how pollutants harm our health and our communities can be tricky, the IPEN leaders used this training to explore new methods of communication to make their message more accessible to the general public. Furthermore, IPEN members put new tools in their arsenal to engage with the news media strategically with the goal of reaching decision-makers, activating allies, and building public support to achieve healthier environments. The BMSG staff conducted this training in Spanish to reach audiences across several Latin American countries.
