Introduction to media advocacy and strategic communications with UC Berkeley interdisciplinary MPH students

In this virtual training with UC Berkeley School of Public Health interdisciplinary MPH (master’s of public health) students, learned the fundamentals of media advocacy and strategic communications. BMSG staff taught students about the agenda-setting power of the news, how issues are framed by the media, how to align messages with solutions, and how to articulate values in messaging. The training also included an opportunity to practice delivering messages in highly engaging mock interview activities.
