About BMSG
Tools For Advocates
Irons in the Fire

Health Disparities: Reframing Race, Health, and Government
Funder: Interested? Contact us
Project: Persistent health disparities reveal serious socioeconomic and racial inequities in America, yet we often avoid needed conversations about race and class in this country. This collaboration between BMSG and Real Reason seeks to articulate new avenues for talking about racial inequities in the context of public health—ways to make clear not only the disparities that exist now, but also the unnatural and unjust processes and conditions that have created them, and what the role of government is in correcting them.
Sustainable Agriculture
Funder: Interested? Contact us
Project: If the only place people got information about sustainable food systems was from the news, what would they know? And, what wouldn't they know? This study will identify the gaps and errors in news coverage of sustainable agriculture, alerting advocates and journalists to the places our public conversation about sustainable agriculture needs bolstering or augmenting.
Evaluating Strategic Communications
Funder: Interested? Contact us
Project: With the Communications Consortium Media Center in Washington DC, and the Harvard Family Research Project in Boston, BMSG is part of a collaborative project designed to research, develop, test, and disseminate principles for evaluating nonprofit communications. The project aims to identify effective strategies for evaluating communications in their messy real-world context. Download BMSG's commissioned paper for the project here. Learn more about the project and see the other commissioned papers here.
