About BMSG
Tools For Advocates
Partnership for the Public’s Health
Client: Partnership for the Public’s Health

In September 2002, Partnership for the Public's Health, a series of partnerships between county health departments and grassroots public health advocates in California, contracted with BMSG to help local advocates use mass media to educate the community and to influence policy makers.

Media advocacy
We are helping local community advocates advance their goals through the media. These goals include alcohol outlet control, environmental justice, teen pregnancy prevention, and an increase in parks and recreational facilities to assist in youth violence prevention.

Training
We provide media advocacy training and help the advocates develop skills and gain confidence in talking to reporters.
