This section is presented to show the range of research in four areas where prevention approaches are being implemented:

• Limiting the Availability of Alcohol
• Limiting the Availability of Handguns
• Diverting Children from Crime
• Preventing Family Violence

The research in these areas is ongoing and the studies more numerous than those presented here. This section also presents four case studies that show the interrelationship between research and prevention approaches.
