BMSG is a nonprofit organization and project of the Public Health Institute.

We are dedicated to expanding advocates’ ability to improve the systems and structures that determine health. We do so in large part by helping them learn to practice media advocacy, the strategic use of mass media to support community organizers’ efforts to advance social or public health policy initiatives.

Scope of work: BMSG works on a range of issues including violence and injury prevention, alcohol, tobacco and other drugs, children’s and family health, childcare, affirmative action, food and physical activity environments, health inequities, and sexually transmitted diseases.
